Getting Started

We first review your needs. We work closely with you to help translate your goals into a list of features and functionality. We then write up a detailed "bullet point" specification for your approval. If this initial specification is satisfactory, we will then agree on a price, if this is a fixed price quote, or an hourly rate with an estimated of number of hours required.

Development

After getting approval from you, we proceed to write the software and customize it, as required. We set up a test system for you to securely log in and view a functioning "snapshot" of the product as it is being developed on our servers. This is great for those who are curious about how we work, or want to ensure that work is progressing at the desirable pace.

You may also use this time to familiarize yourself with how the final site will work, and may begin adding your content to the system in preparation for the live site. We fix any issues you point out, and can even incorporate new features if desired (as a separate quote if it is not in the bullet point specification described earlier).

Delivery

Upon your acceptance of the work completed, final payment is due and the software is officially released to you via a mutually agreed upon method. The most common release methods are deployment to our hosting servers or to a third-party hosting service.

Hosting With Us

Hosting for your site is fully managed by ourselves and tailored to your needs. We’ll take care of domain names, site setup, regular backups, server-side support, database management, file management, security fixes and website statistics as part of the service. The cost of this service varies depending on your individual support requirements and can be agreed on during the development. Support time can include fixes, minor changes and cosmetic tweaks. Additional work over and above the 'support quota' for your plan may be invoiced at our discretion.

Third-Party Hosting

We can deliver the site "complete" (in an archived format) or migrate the site from our development environment to a production server elsewhere. We would also require appropriate access in order to set up the site on an external server.

Training

Once the site is ready we train our clients on how to use their custom software. The amount of training time required depends on the amount of features and functionality.
